If you are currently searching for a used vehicle less than 3000 dollars on you the main question on your mind is what you can possibly get with such limited funds. There are people who will tell you that it's impossible to to locate previously owned automobiles that are fun, reliable, durable, and affordable but these people are dead wrong.

2. Toyota Camry/Toyota Corolla: If you are not much of Honda fan but would like to enjoy the great qualities that exist in their previously owned vehicles then you will want to try the Toyota Camry or Toyota Corolla. The Toyota brand is one of the top selling manufacturers in the US and there used cars are no exception as there are plenty of them available. Much like the Honda's the Camry and Corolla are known for having exceptional fuel economy, longevity, and simplicity in their repairs.

This classic pony car may not be as fuel efficient as the other choices mentioned, but the enjoyment of cruising the streets won't diminish. If you able to find a local dealership in your area that has one in stock you may want to pick it up, as it will last you for quite some time and revamping it shouldn't prove to costly. 
4. Ford Ranger: For those of you curious about pickup trucks for less than $3000 you may want to go after the Ford Ranger which is possibly the easiest truck to own. The Ranger is known to have good fuel efficiency despite it being a larger vehicle and can still do all the towing and hauling you want. Another bonus to this truck is that Ford has made it remarkably easy to repair and maintain so that you don't need to worry about replacing it in a few years. 
5. KIA Sportage: Among the various SUVs that you will find in your price range the KIA Sportage may be one of the better choices to pursue. Unlike most of these cars that will be mid to late 90's versions you can actually find Sportages from the early 2000s. This KIA will offer you decent gas mileage while still giving you a nice smooth and fun ride, while rarely needing much work put into it later down the line.

Once you begin conducting your own searches you will see a wide array of used cars that land in price range. There will be some that you like and others that you wouldn't ever buy, but the important thing is that you always choose a vehicle that fits into your budget and is perfect match for what you want.
